Joe Espana
Joe’s expertise spans four areas of practice: organisational culture, executive & leadership development, top-team facilitation and the design of service excellence into the customer experience. He has helped clients to build high performance cultures in the US, UK, Europe and Asia. He is also an executive coach to several leaders of FTSE 300 companies.
Joe has 19 years experience in organisational development and change. His background includes research and publication, and senior leadership roles in corporate business life.
He has extensive experience of working across sectors, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, hospitality, financial services, technology, professional services, telecommunications and manufacturing, with companies such as: Ernst & Young, the Post Office Group, Vodafone, Argos Plc, BT Plc, Goldman Sachs, Barclays Bank Plc, BUPA, Norwich Union, Easyjet, O2, Boehringer-Ingelheim, GE Money, Le Meridien Hotels, Moevenpick Hotel Group, TNS, XL Capital, EMC2 and British Sugar Group. He has also held senior line and support positions with British Airways, Woodchester Credit Lyonnais and Guardian Royal Exchange.
He has consistently demonstrated the ability to help organisations make a significant performance shift with tangible business results for which he has received several Awards for Excellence. Joe’s credentials include PhD, MPhil, MSc, BA (Hons), and MCIPD, Dip.Coaching. He is a research member of the Centre for Strategic Management Development, a member of the Association for Coaching (UK) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. He is affiliated to the Centre for Leadership Studies at Exeter University and is an accredited Assessment / Development Centre designer and administrator and a licensed practitioner of a number of psychometric tools such as MBTI, FIRO-B and SDI. He is the author of several published articles and papers.
