Claudio Toyama
Claudio is the coordinator of the Customer Experience module of the post-graduate degree in Creative Business at Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco in São Paulo, Brazil and an Associate Lecturer at London College of Communication and has also been invited numerous times as a guest speaker at Brunel University, England.
Claudio has over 15 years international experience in research-based consultancy, having worked primarily within the stakeholder experience, reputation management and interactive media areas for companies such as European Space Agency (ESA), Shell, Microsoft, Fujitsu-Siemens, Masterfoods, Reuters, Royal Society of Arts, O2, Nokia, Discovery Network and others.
Claudio started his career at the Stock Exchange in São Paulo, Brazil as an analyst when inflation in the country was at a staggering 90% per month. He then started applying the same rigorous analytical approach to market research and strategy projects before concentrating on customer & stakeholder experience assignments.
Claudio has a degree in Business Administration, with post graduate degrees in Communication Studies and Marketing & Strategy. He also holds an MA in Interactive Multimedia.
His work with Shandwick’s digital communication practice in 1998 earned praise in Naomi Klein’s book No Logo and won a 1999 DBA award.
